Swiss Engineering at work!!

Here’s a cog wheel train that helps tourists scale the Mount Pilatus, Lucerne, Central Switzerland. It is the world's steepest (47 degrees) Cog Wheel Train and climbs to an altitude of about 7000 feet from the sea level, in about 30 min.

What’s astonishing is the way the train changes tracks at its destinations.

The tracks move sideways at its destination and the train gets ready to on-board tourists. The transition is fluid and is beautiful to watch.

The train passes through alpine meadows and striking rock formations and you are greeted by the breath-taking beauty of Lucerne, when you reach the peak.
